Moving on up!

Well, we've finally reached the point that we could no longer fit into our current office building any more. After growing like an amoeba over the last 14 years and spreading ourselves into 7 different office spaces within one building, the time has come to expand into a new building!

Our new office space, located at 132 Horsham Rd, Horsham, PA, will double our existing space. In addition, it provides much needed room for our continued growth, sports some really nice conference rooms, and actually has a room where all employees can legitimately gather without them literally bumping elbows. Our clients will love it because we will now have more space for on-site training at our HQ.

We'll be posting pictures soon, and can't wait to take advantage of the increased space and productivity which will occur!

Microsoft Vista - Is it right for you?

By now, you've seen all the ads and all the hype for Microsoft's new Windows release, called Vista. You've may have also read that it's not for everyone- and you would be right.

Sure, Vista looks great. The new operating system 'borrows' a few concepts from Apple's operating system, and certainly some tasks (such as browsing through multiple applications) are much easier.

However, all of this new functionality comes at a steep price. First of all, just to take advantage of the new graphic capabilities will most likely require a new computer. Secondly, your most commonly used applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, have all been redesigned and will require substantial training for your staff.

Finally, because this is a new product, it always makes sense to wait for the 'bugs' to get resolved so that the platform becomes more stable.

If you have already upgraded to Vista or are planning too- don't worry about DonorPerfect. We've tested our most current versions and have not detected a problem.

If you are thinking about changing to Vista though, we believe it makes sense to wait to see what really happens and let the marketplace decide the outcome.

Survey Says!

Every year we release a survey to our clients to ask for their feedback and experience as they use DonorPerfect. We use these results to improve our software and services to make DonorPerfect even better.

We're proud to say that once again, over 9 out of 10 users would recommend DonorPerfect to other organizations. (The actual percentage was 94%!). In addition, we received many comments, including:

"Communication with the DonorPerfect organization is the most important to
me. The DonorPerfect organization is right on."

"I have really appreciated your telephone support. Employees are very
patient."

We also received some constructive criticism:

"We would like to see a simpler, more intuitive way to track programming
fees and attendance."

"Space for picture of donor, more space for text "

"Staff is very helpful, but it would be nice if it were possible to call a
person instead of waiting for the call-back "

Over the next few weeks we will be contacting everyone that responded to the survey and had questions. It's also not too late to take the survey! Simply login to your DonorPerfect Online system, and there is a survey link on your home dashboard.
